It’s amazing how all that hard work from the LOX paid off in that Versus and cemented their legacy as true players in the game.
Styles deserves a ton of credit. There was a long period of time in the late 00/10s when he held the name down by adapting to the internet era and flooding the game with dope mixtapes. Meanwhile Kiss was still on that old formula of just an album every few years (and they weren’t good).

As a trio they really are perfect as they all hold it down in that respect and bring their own thing to the table which forms like Voltron. That and they genuinely seem to F with each other, play their position and know the power of strength in unity which you can't often say for anything where money and fame gets in.

Just goes to show:

Do what you do best and the rest will handle itself as and when...

When being real and not selling your soul pays off in the end.

Kiss said it best:

A lotta nikkas is thousandaires (Word)
Walking 'round town, fronting like they got mil's
For what it's worth, I'm one myself
But my strength in the hood outruns my wealth (Yeah)

Give me a legit business, a passion to do what I love, and to be able to come around the block without an army to protect me any day, over being famous and having to deal with complete isolation because the industry is a monster and people want to become famous.

man stop it... real rap heads know lox been superior to dipset.... anyone who paid attention knew Lox was going to body them nikkas before that versus even stated
That’s not true.

The Lox was clearly lyrically superior going in and clearly proved that in the event …but Dipset still had a far bigger impact and was a cultural movement. Also better albums

What folk didn’t account for was this was the new format of live performance not just playing songs. The Lox are fukking ARTISTS, technicians.:banderas: Dipset? Juelz drugged out and Cam showed up 15 minutes before:martin:

But cats need to stop acting like 1 event overshadows history. Too much ‘balck Twitter’ takes infiltrating genuine hip hop. Ie folk sayin Kiss is actually top 5 :heh: Based on what body of work?!? Like chill

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way

I was in my teens-early 20s during this period, the work SP was putting in was INSANE. Sheek also stepped the fukk up during this time, supported by Team Arliss, Bully etc.

Great for the culture, but I’ll play devils advocate. When they did that mural for P in QB, cats defaced it so many times, they washed over it. I wonder if anyone from the BX is going to do this one dirty since none of them are from the BX?

Also, miss me with the “P not from qb, he had ongoing beef with cats form qb.” He didn’t put qb on the map but he damn sure rep them to the death
