Get a DBA (doing business as) at first. That should be enough. You could get an EIN too if you want. Save your receipts. Write them off at the end of the year.
No need to go s-corp or LLC until you're big.

it's not even 600 posts in this thread. I read through it in under 30 minutes. Take notes, research, then spend Saturday trying to make shyt work. No one is gonna hold your hand and walk you through this. I don't know fukk all about this stuff and I gotta google docs page full of info and I'll have my blog and internet business launched by this weekend. For anybody ever strapped for cash and dont have a job, tighten up your bootstraps here's what you do.
What you need:
Car
Startup cash (couple hundred)
internet
Here's what you do:
Go on Craigslist and search for products (iPhone, iPad, macbook, etc). Then check the market price for those products (new and used) on eBay. The goal is to check to see if you can make a profit buy buying the item on clist and reselling it on eBay (make sure to account for Ebay/paypal fees).
Now the part you gotta do that nobody wants to do is LOWBALL the fukk outta the craigslist seller, if they list they're iPhone 5 for $600, offer them $300 (or even lower) and work your way up to the maximum you can offer in order to still make a profit by reselling on eBay. This works best if the clist seller put their phone number up and you text them a pic of the cash.
The key is that it's a numbers game. 90% of the ppl are probably gonna
and tell you to fukk off. But the key is to GET TO that 10% that will accept your lowball offers. If you make 100 offers a day similar to the previous iPhone 5 example that's 10 iPhone 5's you could cop for just $3000, in which you can resell on eBay and make double. And you just made $3000 in one day (obviously this is being over-generous but you get the point).
After a while of doing that start bankrolling your money and graduate into bigger more expensive. It's alot easier to pull arbitrage on a $10000 car and get it for lets say $7500, and also make a bigger profit per sale ($2500) than it is to get a $600 iPhone 5 for $300 and only make a $300 profit. The flipside to that is its more risk and more money involved, also that item would move alot slower, part of this game is not holding onto products for too long, you want to buy and sell as quick as possible.
Tips:
Finding the right niche can help you BIG TIME so do some research and think outside the box of your common consumer items. While these arent bad things to start with but everybody's selling iphones, ipads, macbooks, etc. Ive read a thread where a dude did something similar was able to monopolize the "vintage gaming" market in his town/city. He had overtime bought a majority of the nintendo 64's being sold in his area and was making decent money reselling them.
Another craigslist tip, if you dont want to drive waay out your way meeting the person, just agree to the person to meet halfway, get their location first and then find out the location you need to tell them in the opposite direction of your real location in order to make your real location the halfway point.

Basically dude some years ago started a porn tumblr that gained a pretty decent following (to this date it has 10million page views).
He also had a decent amount of followers on twitter. He decided to create his own product and put that traffic to good use. HE came up with his own "luxury" line of snapbacks (I say luxury because the text and quality was inspired by luxury clothing lines like Balmain).
He had a couple of the joints on his Tumblr rock the snapbacks to advertise and then opened his own online store selling his snapbacks for only 12 hrs (part of the allure is that the hats only go on sale for $12 hours and after that he never resells the hat ever again). The first time he did it he sold like $12000 worth, did it again with a different style and did $40k and then did it again and sold $70k. I think he started this last summer.
This nikka got all kinds hiphop celebs rocking his shyt. He also has labels paying him to put up their artists music videos on his tumblr.
