This is the first I heard of Mace not being dead. So if that’s the case, where was he during the original trilogy? Surely Yoda and Obi Wan would’ve known he was still alive

The entire Mace thing comes from Sam Jackson saying that George told him "Mace could've survived". There's nothing more to it than that.

Mace is a top 5 character for me but I don't buy it. Yoda actually reacts to his death directly, before Order 66 kicks off. That's a powerful scene and kicks off the true betrayal of Anakin.

Disney already made Palpatine kind of survive Episode 6/Anakin's return to Jedi-dom. Mace and Anakin and the Jedi Order's arcs are more powerful if Mace died imo. Give Luke the shine that the shytquel trilogy should've given him.

That's off-screen conjecture from George Lucas, who isn't at the helm of this series anymore. So for all intents and purposes, Mace is dead.

And while he's one of my favorite characters, Star Wars has got to let some of these deaths stick. It's dope that Maul lived and we got to see the character fleshed out. I'm excited Boba's getting the same treatment. But like most other fans, I realized enough was enough with Palpatine's borderline-ridiculous survival of the Death Star II explosion.

I kind of agree with y'all on the Mace thing. We've seen, read or heard powerful Jedi/Sith survive somehow where they should've been dead. He still could be alive.

But also I would rather see a Mace Windu Mini Series focusing on some of his adventures as a Jedi than them bring back an old broken one

The Mace thing is more because George said it. It’s not like it’s super thought out at all. Also let’s be reality on what format that would work. Maul came back via animation so that’s easier to make happen. Are they getting Sam L for multiple seasons of a TV show? Seems unlikely.

Well that’s a little different than him training Grogu which was more of the conversation. That would be a long arc of multiple season. Personally if you go through the trouble of bringing Mace back then it’s a big project.

The Wild thing is he not even a Baby really. Yea 50 is young for the species but still not a baby. what if the coo coo baby shyt is just a act...Kinda like when Luke 1st met yoda. I think he knows and can communicate more than he shows

50 is a baby.
Yoda was 900 years old when he died.

We just have differing views. I feel like if you bring Mace back it needs to be a big project not cameos. Even an origin series needs to time to set him up.

Wow this was the most star wars episode ever. The possibilities this season is opening up is so vast that we could have 6 seasons before even reaching the shyt show force awakens movie. Show a pre pussified luke in this series while mark is still alive and have grogu somewhere getting his master yoda on.

It's kind of an "ET"-like thing.

ET with Elliot acted a lot like a child, but that was just because he was in an unfamiliar environment and he was really a full grown adult member of his species.
