Yeah I think it will end up with an ET phone home situation.
Either Luke or Yoda will show him a way to get home and it will be a race against Moff to get him there.
The rest of the series will be about Mando and Bo Katan restoring Mandalore. Him coming to terms with his family in the Watch.
