Lol only on TheColi.com where Eminem, the highest selling rapper of all time btw, is not considered top 10. He's top 5 like it or not. The list in the OP is accurate, but personally, I put LL over Scarface, but Scarface is still top 10

He's nowhere near my GOAT list and I don't think he's a mandatory.

Now as far as biggest rappers and most impact than he's arguably number 1. Pac had a much more social impact than any rapper ever. His music just wasn't that high a quality to me.

Impact is a MAJOR factor for a goat list thou..thats the main reason why i think Rakim HAVE to be on the list

im not even that big of a fan of emenim's music truthfully, but i still can't deny him as one of the goats

I'll take the 1st 5...

I like Eminem, skills wise he's at the top. But his music hasn't aged well. I never want to go back and listen to his old shyt like I do with Pac, Jay, etc....

Rakim is nice, but I just never was overly impressed with his music and he doesn't have a classic album...

I have no issue with cube or LL being in the top 10..but as far as them being a mandatory lock is questionable..

although he remained relevant after amerikkas most & DC, cube kinda fell off imo in terms of lyrics

and LL was pretty much strickly for the ladies after momma said knock you out..im not hatin or think thats a bad thing either but ijs

Snoop thou? Nah..he cool but his discography pales in comparison to those on the list

His discography goes toe to toe with anyone in that list

And cube is a top 10 lock there should be no question about that cmon now

Paid in Full is probably the MOST classic album of all-time....wtf are you talking about?

Also lol at any mandatory top 'x' list without the GOAT Don Mega West Coast Warlord Zionist Annihilator AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted Ice Cube

Due to the abundance of uninspiring and just flat out wack rappers of todays hiphop scene, I'd say the Top 10 list is pretty much set in stone.I say pretty much because i believe its 7 rappers that has undoubtedly made their mark on the culture to the point where they must be included in the top 10 GOAT list..doesnt matter in what order you rank them either, they just have to be somewhere on the list.

And the mandatory 7 is(not in order):

Tupac
Biggie
Nas
Jay-Z
Scarface
Rakim
Eminem

The other three m.c's are interchangable.
Man, that looks like a good list. But it's so 90's biased. I'm sure others would love to have the Old School Era rappers included. They're the foundation.

Mandatory is also a word I find hard to use in this context when there are so many great high level MC's out there, I understand people gonna have different amounts of knowledge in terms of what they've heard, what they know and possibly stylistic preference too.

So to me nobody is mandatory, the closest MC I think comes to mandatory to me is KRS-One because he's got so much dope shyt, he's big enough where most heads should know him, had the albums, content, skills, songs etc. I do think KRS should be in everybody's top 10, but even with that 1 if it's not it's all good, different opinions, so I don't mind if he or anybody else isn't, but what I do feel is that everybody on the list should at least be worthy of it, or at the least be dope, if they are dope cool. But can usually tell an informed and serious list from someone who needs to go a bit deeper, I'll leave it at that, but seem some terrible lists here recently that find hard to take seriously, also seen some respectable ones, so varies...
