TM:101 by a mile.
The positives that have been spoken on The Coli about The Massacre are rather light. When it first came out, I remember BET asking random people about that album and responses ranged from classic to greatest album ever. That's not even mentioning how inescapable it was. It definitely wasn't treated like 50's worst album. Similarly, it was like that with TM101.
I think this board has more of an infatuation with TM101 than The Massacre.
this proves my hypothesis correct.
i dont recall many cats who were fully-grown musically that rocked with the massacre, aside from some g-unit stans who were tryna force themselves to like it.
There are a lot of non G-Unit stans who genuinely liked the album who were fully grown at the time of its release. I don't think it was classic, but it definitely wasn't some light weight album that was forgotten overnight. That album pretty much dominated '05. It even overshadowed some of the better albums.
On a personal level, The Massacre didn't even crack my 10 favorite albums of 2005. I liked the album, but it had a lot of filler.
by fully-grown, i mean serious fans. not casual rap listeners.
that album was clowned on site. it didnt dominate anything but the charts.
you realize candy shop was on this album right?MASSACRE By far
