I wanna see receipts!
yes, how else would it occur? it happens all the time, in many species and even within a species. Its the easiest way for new species to branch off. in the Gibbon family they have a chromosome range from 36 to 52! So around 5M ya our recent great ape ancestor, some were born with 23 pairs instead of 24, and this limited their reproductive ability with the rest of the population. These '23 pair' great apes went on to become the Hominid family and one of those many species of hominid became us, homo sapiens.Does that chromosome fusion occur naturally? I'm far from an expert in it. I would have to look in to it.
If we're not more evolved than apes. I guess they need to throw us in zoo's.
Plants are more evolved than many animals. They are almost perfect in some occurences.
1 in 800 people are born with fused chromosomes, and this type of chromosome rearrangements can lead to a many types of cancers.
