Nah Camp Clinton started a background campaign to suck up donation dollars early and squeeze out all the legit contenders before they started The only one to really run was Bernie who's notoriously no fukks given and he still almost beat her.General rule is if you keep hearing the same story/accusation/etc about someone it’s probably true. I assumed being VP would result in her getting an all star staff and keeping her head down.
I think part of this is Biden’s camp, who seem extremely upset at any suggestion that he won’t run again. But the bigger part is that she’s just odious and her own people don’t like her. That’s a problem.
I maintain she was the best VP choice based on optics but long term she’s a disaster. Democrats have had a terrible bench since even before Obama though. Even in 2008 he was the only great option, with Hillary as the inevitable candidate. He beat her and got the top spot, but the problem is she dropped down to #2 and nobody bothered to even compete. And dems are still in that hole. They don’t have a young senator, popular governor, special mayor…nothing.

democrats have no interest in developing/growing new leadership that has emerged on its own. especially if they grow to a point where it threatens established seats in any real way. democrats eat their own like crazy and there's almost no purpose behind it other than protecting long standing notions and seats. enthusiasm will spring up organically, dems will punch down and primary their own people out, then they'll turn around and beg for votes while acting like they can't understand why there's so many holes to fill regarding their outreach strategy.General rule is if you keep hearing the same story/accusation/etc about someone it’s probably true.
