I can take people saying the Heat are a lock for the finals, that seems a no-brainer if you look at the season.

But, I don't get this idea that we can't compete with the Pacers? Not guaranteeing a win but we match up pretty decently to them. I could see that being a series that goes all 7 games. Just don't see how they're a lock for the conference finals.

The "they're better without Melo" narrative they were hoping for after he came back didn't work. So now they're quiet about them.

I noticed that too. They've been playing really well as of late.

I don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere that The Daily News was trying to get Dolan to merge his Newsday with their Rag. Apparently, things didn't go down the way the DN wanted and, has since, put the hit out on the Knicks org. Now granted, Knicks haven't been anything to write home about the past 13 years, so they haven't exactly made things difficult for the DN.

As far as the Post, I don't read that rag so I'm not sure if their coverage of the Knicks is agenda-driven.

I dont' think the Knicks match up very well to the Pacers honestly. They defend the three really well and are one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA.

Pacers and Knicks match up pretty evenly at the moment....difference is Pacers are one of if not the best rebounding and defensive team in the league. Ignoring this when looking at a possible matchup of the two is basically saying defense doesn't matter. Homefield advantage would also be huge in that series.

If healthy come playoff time hopefully guys like Camby, K-Mart, and Chandler can offset their big man if they were to meet up. The Knicks right now look completely different with K-Mart on the team and with JR being more aggressive in the paint.

:russ:

He been goin in on em, but he's right. Melo's team's start off great then wear down. He's an inefficient, shot chucking volume shooter who stops the ball in the flow of the offense. Melo's about getting his points, that's it. He's not about being a leader or making his teammates better

this whole thing about "making your teammates better" is poppy-cock.

unless youre a point guard, thats some ole bullchit.

:comeon: Pacers were a 3 seed last year in a healthy eastern conference and the heat and bulls are the only teams who can beat them

and i CLEARLY STATED that they could easily be a 3-seed in a healthy east this year as well.

that doesnt make them the 3rd best team tho.

People acting like the pacers won the series :heh: it's more impressive that a shorthanded team beat the pacers and they attempted bullying tactics. They won 2 games and acted like bullies and wound up losing the series :skip: I guess that's something

heres the thing i'm a knicks fan... and i dont think weve ever seen the team playing to there top potential... amare needs to be healthy along with chandler and melo... and shump needs to be back to his 2012 self and then maybe we can talk challenging for something.

I'm not feeling Shumpert anymore. His game just rubs me the wrong way. We are at our best with a healthy Sheed. He complimented Chandler and Amare's game. But the media just hates Melo, so they will never acknowledge our triumphs.
