Royals hitters were the worst team for the Mets. They just tried to put the ball in play and made you work on the mound. No question in my mind the Mets win the WS if they played the blue jays instead.

100%... the pitching did a good job against the Royals but many a time 8 or 9 pitch ABs favor the hitters. Little dribblers everywhere.

That 2015 Mets pitching would've eaten up the Blue Jays, they were far too strike out prone (see what the Mets did to the Cubs).

I remember back when he came back from Tommy John and Boras and Harvey floated the idea of an innings cap for him that season and the fans went livid. Instead of doing the smart thing and listening to his agent, he went back on the innings cap to pander to the fans
I think he broke the record for IP after Tommy John including his playoff innings (216 UP total). And of course he ruined his arm and has never been the same since. Harvey was looking like a legend before he fukked his arm the second time.
I do think it's bs he couldn't swallow his pride and go to the minors. Plenty of players who had/have been great have done it

I don't know... we can't pinpoint that TOS was caused by the extra innings pitched. However, he should've gone to the minors.

That was the elimination game. But had Duda made the throw to home for the final out in the 9th we don’t lose Game 5. Harvey pitched a gem.

He's been given many opportunities to build something but he can't even go 5 innings anymore. And when he did have value the Mets were trying to compete. Yeah all this 'they should have traded him' is whatever. Alderson's strategy was HRs and great Starting pitching so all these guys were untouchable probably until like just now. lol They were never considering trading any of them the Mets dreamed of a Fab 5 at least 4 starting rotation. Seems they may be giving up on everyone who isn't Syndergaard or DeGrom until they prove otherwise this season.
