The Miz literally just worked a very 'safe' match and it was PIFF. Good shyt.

No way. I'm not into the whole star rating thing but Miz put on a master class in how to work smart, being an effective heel and hyping up the audience all through basic mechanics, it was beautiful to watch

:manny:
Dude just did a bunch of D Bry's moves with not near the same efficiency and did a proper figure four for once while one of the better sellers in company put it all over and now he's master :mjlol:

You're missing the entire layout of the match, the pacing, the stalling, the antics, the drama he built up.. you're basically saying "he just did stuff" but that's not how I saw it

I've watched many matches in my life, I didn't miss a thing. Literally in the same night you had the best on the planet (arguably) carry a decent talent who's currently falling off in the ring to a good main event. The IC match was literally Miz doing Bryan's moves to taunt him while Ziggler did everything to sell them. It's nothing special and at best it was a good match. And praising someone for having good matches kinda shows where they' really at as a talent. Guys like Cesaro and Sami Zayn do matches like this and better on Raw every week.

Yall are praising the most average match ever :mjlol:

It was far from average. It was damn good. However, let's not ignore the fact that most Miz matches after 2011 have been forgettable.

no they work a completely different style and while both of them are two of the best in the world, they are always injured.

Always? Cesaro only has had one injury during his time in the WWE.

When has Zayn been "always injured"?

They're better workers who put on matches of this caliber you're hyping up on random TV shows, plus Cesaro's been injured like once. So basically this match was good to make a statement against some of the better workers doing riskier spots and getting hurt, ok that's cool I guess. But if yall want this Miz is a good worker thing to happen he's gonna have to do it weekly and do it without using someone else's submissions and working alongside good worker to make them look legit.

Yep. This match was lame because it wasn't full of spot monkey shyt and finisher spamming.
Didn't say the match was lame though. In your feelings much?

Its pretty easy to have a good match with Dolph, but when you got Miz stepping his game up...a good background story...which carries over to a good in ring story...and these 2 being good friends which carries over to good chemistry...they pulled off the match of the night. Pretty surprising considering they didn't do any high spots, just good ol fashioned work. And Miz didnt bury Dolph like Dean did. Dolph didn't come out of the match lookin like he lost another big one. Its a story thats to be continued. Thats the sign of a good champ. Hats off to those 2.

Miz has definitely improved overall as a performer and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a belt with the Smackdown World title eventually.

But would that match been as good with Michael Cole on commentary no selling it?

The stars aligned and Miz had a good match but it took Dolph's selling, good play by play from Mauro Ranallo, and some simple limb work. Why did this take so long to make happen and where can we get more of it?

Bullshyt breh. I saw the match with shytty Marcelito Rodriguez doing color commentary and the match was just as good as with Mauro.

Miz did the same focused work against DB and Lawler, it's not the first time ever.

Now, this doesn't mean he's great or elite, or top 5 in the ring right now. But dude has had a really good character for months, cut an outstanding promo and had a really good match against a guy who has struggled having those for a while. Mizanin deserves getting some props. Why look for reasons to minimize what he's doing?

Because before this, I cant remember ONE Miz match as being memorable except the one with Cena at Wrestlemania with the Rock as the referee. And that was NOT for Miz. He is fine as a wrestler (ive said this several times recently) and is of course capable of a good match, but he really didnt do much different than what he normally does other than getting some time to build a story. Plus, this is the first time ive ever been emotionally involved with any match of his but its not my first with Dolph. Im going by common denominator.

As for Mauro, how many times has Michael Cole made a match feel important by selling it in the past decade? Or even shown remote enthusiasm? You dont have to be Jim Ross to be a good announcer but analyzing how the action in the ring adds to the match and thus progressing the story is something needed too.
