In the album linear notes it says "Hollywood Cole" Just look in the booklet and you'll see it for yourself.

Kinda destroys ops whole reasoning when you think about it.

It doesn't destroy anything because Dre 100% said Hollywood Court. I'm sure you remember back when more rap albums would have lyrics in the linear notes. It wasn't uncommon for those notes to have typos or for some of the words to be incorrect.

And this is not a Drake hate thread. I don't play that stan war shyt. I'm not really a fan of Drake, but I do think he is talented and have enjoyed some of his music. But him saying that line epitomized what he is: A half white, suburbanite, child actor from Canada. He is the definition of an industry created star. They tried to affiliate the nikka with Houston for street cred in the beginning of his career. He just strikes me as a nikka who had to learn "how to be down"

"Now Who Else Wanna fukk With Hollywood Cold/Cole?":what:

The line is from the end of Dre's verse on Spotieottie (2nd only to T.R.O.Y. for best horns in a Hip Hop track:banderas:)

The Dre line was "Now Who Else Wanna fukk With Hollywood Court"

Hollywood Court was some old apartments/projects in Atlanta. In Dre's verse some shyt went down at the club, and a nikka started flexing talking about who wanna fukk with his projects. It doesn't matter if you in the streets, this is a scenario a regular nikka has either participated in or witnessed sometime in their life. Unlike Drake, who is so far removed from the culture that he totally misinterpreted the line:mindblown:

I bet the nikka thought he was being cool by saying that shyt too:mjlol: Soon as I heard that shyt I was like where the fukk did they get this nikka from (Canada, I :mjlol:know)

And miss me with that he tried to flip the line shyt. He just couldn't understand Dre was saying court because he's not used to the southern accent. This nikka owes the whole Westside of Atlanta an apology.

So you're telling me Hollywood Cole isn't a real person? :to:
You just ruined 2016 for me. :sadbron:

I don't think he's a fraud, I think he's only as fraudulent as the generation allows him to be. And if there are no rules for fraudulence, is he really a fraud? :ld:

:camby:

Take it to higher learning. I come here for the fukkery. Keep that post-structuralist hyperreal authenticity shyt out the booth.

:comeon: i really wanna let you cook..i do..but i would venture to say 90 something % of people, myself included, thought Dre said Hollywood Cole until he cleared it up. It aint that serious

GQ: Random question: Drake quotes your song, "Spottieottiedopaliscious," and says, "Who else wants to fukk with Hollywood Cole." I've had heated debates with Atlanta natives who say it's "Hollywood Court" [a notoriously tough Atlanta project building.] Settle the debate once and for all!

Andre 3000: Holly Court. And it's funny because J. Cole sampled it [playing off of the word "Cole"]. When they asked for clearance, I told him and his team that I wasn't saying "Cole," that I was saying "Court," but they wanted to use it anyway. [laughs] So I was like, "Okay."

I thought it was Hollywood Cole, which sounds like a player that might whoop your ass in the club. It also sounds like a name Andre would come up with...in semi pro his name was Downtown Malone:yeshrug:

But props for the enlightenment.
