to be honest, alot of rappers just seem to be willed by the media throwing it in your face how great someone is. People get the same songs thrown in their face and the same idea planted in their head on some inception shyt and people just seem to buy it after awhile. The same guys are on the radio and blogs all the time so it "grows" on people because their outlets are limited. i dont care to mention names but alot of the rappers today can be the 'BEST" because the competition is tepid in the mainstream, they all try to befriend each other and "get money together" as opposed to asserting their will, sales mean more than their rep as an mc. just being average and spitting half ass punchlines means "oh hes bringing lyrics back because he didint repeat a hook for 3 minutes"
