i got into the nba around '90, so i missed jordan's early years. and i mistakenly thought the kobe comparisons were arguable. but nah....not even close.

the chapter on jordan in bill simmons' basketball book really puts it in perspective. that famous cradle dunk that was in a bunch of his commercials- that was his 2nd game. he was dominant & putting up 30+ from the start. 2nd year, he was out for the season & had the 63 point playoff game vs the celtics. sick.
