Publix has taken over Alabama (Even has a distribution center now). Piggly Wiggly isn't that prevalent anymore outside of small towns, even though it still has the most stores, but Publix is building new ones every year and catching up to it.... This is from 2017 according to the top right of the picture.

The Food Lion that was near me closed because their prices were ridiculously high. Everyone in my subdivision would drive 15 minutes to the nearest Kroger or Publix instead of driving 1 minute to go to food lion. I wonder if food lion is high as hell in the Carolinas as well
Where u from, I ain't ever heard of a Food Lion being more expensive than Publix :dahell:

Whole Foods Market is popular here in Dallas.

And my top 5 grocery stores (Dallas, Tx area):

1. Kroger.
2. Tom Thumb
3. Central Market
4. Target
5. Whole Foods Market.
