i can take a look at it breh, i used to write a lot of mods for forum software back in the day (mostly for vbulletin, but xenforo is made by the same guy)
barring that, there's a bunch of "most likes" type mods on the xenforo addons board, one of them has to be less resource hungry than the one y'all used to have
