Brooks learned nothing :manny:

I still can't comprehend in what world Perk guarding LeBron at the 3 point line makes any damn sense. Or how Mario Chalmers goes off on us. shyt was frustrating to watch because it seemed like we got no calls but we shot 38 FTs. It just seemed like Russy was driving all game & getting hit & they would call it half the time. Also don't like the trend of KD suddenly somehow becoming a fouling machine when we play the Heat. Brooks didn't help matters keeping Perk out there as long as he did though. Perk isn't effective if he isn't defending the post & Miami don't play that shyt.

I wish we could trade Perk but I seriously doubt that'll happen until after the season if it happens. I would love to trade Perk, Maynor, & a pick for Varejao & Casspi maybe. I also wouldn't mind Gortat & Wright from Philly. We need another shooter/scorer off the bench, the only problem is realistically we need another SF & they wouldn't get many minutes.

Darnell said it best

"The Thunder hasn’t just lost five of six against the Heat. The Thunder has lost five of six against the Heat trying to play the same way. Miami goes small. OKC plays big. After five straight losses, it’s safe to classify that approach under insanity. The Thunder inexplicably continues to play Perk and Serge Ibaka against Heat lineups that often feature just one big man (often a power forward) and four wing players. It’s nuts. Perkins and Ibaka have neither made Miami pay offensively with their height and weight advantages in the post nor slowed down the Heat with their defense. Whatever the point is of keeping two big men out there I’m not seeing it."

nothing else needs to be said :ehh:

Kendrick Perkins believes the Oklahoma City Thunder have to get over themselves one by one and recommit to the team.

“I just feel like — never overreacting to a loss — we just got to start getting back to who we are as individuals,” Perkins said after the Thunder's Christmas Day loss to the Miami Heat. “Turning off the TV and stop looking at articles on ourselves and start just losing ourselves in the team a little bit more than the sky's the limit.”

Perkins didn't call out a specific teammate but made it clear the Thunder's mindset is not in the right place right now.

“We just got to start knowing what got us here and what each guy did to get us to this point,” Perkins said. “We just got to make sure we start knowing who we are and what we are and what we mean to this team as individuals and the rest will take care of itself.”
