st louis is just a grimey city though. Certain parts of the Lou almost remind me of a hybrid between Detroit, Baltimore and Memphis. Atleast EM made music that matched Detroit's landscape

I dont understand how the D has never been a hip hop hotspot..shyt is 80% black, grimey as hell, a rich history of pimpin and gangsta shyt that dates back to the 50's

I mean to put it in perspective..one nieghborhood in New Orleans has had more successful rappers than the entire city.

I never looked at it like that. Thats crazy b/c detroit historically was a center for black music (motown) esp. r&b but they never really had a run like ATL, L.A. or even new orleans
