In a simple setting like in elementary school where all most kids do is eat, go to school, do homework. If we remove the extremes of bad parenting, orphans, no lunches. Adding maybe 10 additional parameters, some children will perform better than others. In adulthood with there is even more and complex parameters You should expect very few to come out as billionaire. Hard work is important, so luck, so is collaboration and taking advantage of opportunities. Take Eduardo Séverin, based on testimonies, he he’s smart. Was trading futures in college. But he was at the right place at the right time. He is now worth 20 Billions due to being part of the initial Facebook team.

Nah regular people with a net worth of >1mil get it out the mud too. How many folks do you know that get a million dollars passed down? How many people do you you getting $300,000 passed down, unless it’s tied up in a house or something?

No one is self-made.
The phrase itself makes absolutely no sense.
The only way you can literally be self-made is if you were off-grid by yourself and had to fend for yourself by yourself with absolutely no help.
They did a good job of explaining as how no one is really self-made. Mentors, people along the way that helped you get where you were. You think Amazon would be this big if policies weren't put into place protecting his ass? Amazon is damn near a monopoly at this point.

even if you got it out the mud, you didnt do it on your own. there are OGs that helped you, snakes you had to stomp or get bitten by, family that pushed you and supported you. no such thing as self made
