Census records, marriage licenses, and draft cards had names of some of my relatives. Found my great great grandparents , Isabella Bowers and Abraham Martin's marriage license from 1915 and I learned their parent's name from that. The property where my folks live today is still in Isabella's mother name. All our tax stuff says Property of Carolina Bowers Heirs

Liberia was purchased and founded by African Americans in the 1800s, it wasn't an original country and is the only country that has an exact square footage through purchase. Many former African American slaves went to live there, which would be why they would have "European sounding surnames" Below is a link. What is ironic is the same African Americans more or less enslaved the indigenous population to build up the country of Liberia.

But they swear it’s impossible to determine who’s ADOS and who isn’t. It’s pretty simple, if you wave a foreign flag, you’re not ADOS. However migration patterns don’t really matter as ADOS identity (imo) is mostly established not through slavery but the Reconstruction Era, The Great Migration, and Jim Crow. People really need to read up on Black Reconstruction by WEB DuBois (some people are trying to claim he’s Haitian though).
