Why do people keep saying this can't happen. The NCAA is more militant then the NBA. They let all the Penn State players leave. I think the NBA should and might give the Clippers the same option. You can play out the rest of your contract under Sterling (which black man is gonna take the risk of being labeled a c00n?) or you can be a free agent.

I hope the ownership pushes for the team to be freed up. sterling isn't some weakling he's a cut throat evil lawyer, so even after gettin through all that court shyt he'll still stand to make a substantial profit. I think it should be a lifetime ban and devalue the team enough for the NBA to buy it and sell it to someone else. Just like we know Sterling aint gonna buy them out their contracts.
The Knicks will have -9 million in cap space when Melo leaves, that could go down to as low as -6 mil if Felton gets thrown under the jail.

The more I think about this whole situation, the more I believe Sterling will voluntarily step down. I really can't think of a realistic way for this shyt to wrap up.
Only reason why some nikkas doubt that outcome is because they believe that since he's an old racist, he's gonna become difficult in terms of the NBA trying to get rid of him. The way I see it, in his mind right now the only fight he has in this thing is to convince enough people that the audio recordings are either completely fake or greatly edited to make him sound bad (both of which are highly unlikely to happen)
Once he accepts that everyone else believes without a doubt that the recording are legit and they consider him an evil racist, he's gonna be like "
