People say this and the NFL is still more valuable than the NBA, MLB, and MLS. Plus, flag football is the fastest growing sport in the world and it is a derivative from the NFL's investments in growing the sport internationally.

Globally, the most valuable sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. Go figure.
This nikka :laff:

No one watch the nfl outside of America dawg.

Citation for most valuable teams internationally

Yeah because of how much of a chokehold the NFL has on America

Surely you don't think those games in London & Brazil are the reason why the NFL's revenue is that high :skip:

The NBA probably has more fans in China alone than the NFL has outside of the US combined

I guess but I don't think he is moving the needle.
What he was doing during the off-season was all over social media and people were talking about him.

shyt he even got on an episode of Futurama, he's went viral every night this preseason for shyt he doing on the court.

He's getting MVP buzz, he's definitely moving the needle. Only reason you could say that is because he plays in San Antonio but market don't matter if you really like that

You brought up Shai and he's a top 3-5 player in the league and is the MVP. But his game really ain't that entertaining to watch, effective AF though

But if I gotta spend money to watch SGA or Wemby play, im watching Wemby.

To be fair the average age of this site is like 38, I don't expect a whole lot of stans for new players :flabbynsick:

SGA definitely has stans if you look on NBA Twitter and Reddit tho, obv not to the level of a MJ or Kobe
Facts the kids on Tik Tok love SGA, they be making those edits I see all the time. This site ain't the greatest for capturing the pulse of the youth I ain't gon lie lol

This isn't about competing with the NFL. It's about following a format that can help the league along the same lines the that it's made the NFL succeed.
I get that and agree. I was talking about those that make it out to be a competition. It doesnt make sense.

All that is a temporary wave and has never proven to have the stickiness to keep fans interested. Look at the end result. Player led focus doesn’t have long lasting standing with fans. Players retire….fan interest retires WITH THEM. It’s dumb as fukk for a league to continue reinventing itself around its players when developing interests around TEAM is a fixture that always works to retain the return customer.

And the NBA fueled success helped one player, not the NBA itself. We see this now with Inside the NBA helping themselves but not bringing interest to the league
The NBA has been consistently destroying and dismissing what permanently drives a fans interest. No one should be surprised at the NBAs continuing decline of cultural relevance

Team/ local pride.

Playing hard

The ridiculousness of load management

No team rivalries

The nba does not resemble a sport and it has nothing to do with media coverage
NBA got Wemby for the next 15 plus years. He's their face
Americans don’t care for Wemby.

I know you're being disingenuous but let me entertain you.

Do those stadiums in London, Brazil, and Mexico look empty? What about flag football inaugurating as an olympic sport that no one outside of the USA plays?

Yet, they're a distant second thus this article. According to you, the rest of the world should be able to subsidize it being second in America. The NBA conceded that it doesn't.

Real Madrid and the rest of those European soccer teams full up stadiums playing preseason games in America.

But soccer is still not that popular in America.

It's GROWING in popularity in America.....isn't that's the point?
I mean....damn....the NBA is telling you they are doing something to remedy the issue and you are pretending the issue doesn't matter. :dahell:

Exactly. The NFL has a plan to expand their popularity.
