The work around is going overseas ie Cuba, Germany or even Canada.

We definitely need more black people in the mental health field. Just think about all the white phycologists, and psychiatrists giving black people life advice. I'm also concerned about the social workers, and guidance counselors around black children in school.

So true. We had a discussion about this a while ago on the campus I work at. White folks just don't understand the struggles that Black people have, and their advice is..lacking.

As long as the math and reading is trash from elementary all the way to high school we are never going to get the numbers we need. The medical field is oversaturated with "Jews", Indians and East Asians compared to their overall population numbers.

The problem is that a lot of blacks are under serious debt of loans and don't want to take out anynore of them doing additional schooling. Especially one as long and expensive as medical school. They want to be making money as soon as possible out of college.

Majority don't even work in the field they got their degree in. It would make more sense for schools to push students who are first generation college attendees and lower economic backgrounds into community college and then transfer for their junior and senior years. Majority don't understand the difference between a private and public state school. Too many jump at the easy degree track because they aren't used to doing rigorous course work. A strong emphasis on math and reading should be pushed on them from kindergarten.

Nah we need the right type of Black people. Too many of the current crop of therapists are feminists that have a strong contempt for straight Black males. Just look back at the therapist who ended up getting fired after talking down on BM and all the other Black therapists who were in support of her comments.
