You right, but my point was simply that the album has had longevity that many newer albums don't. Outside of GKMC the only new-ish albums I bumped for a year+ are XXX and Covert Coup.

Drake makes moment music imo, like Ross. shyt you bump in the summer/fall and forget about. 2013 started pretty good but the last few months have just been moment music...

Needle drop does not seem like someone who knows hiphop, he knows music in general.
So when someone goes of and rhymes crazy, metaphors, punchlines etc etc he won't understand it.

His hiphop reviewers are really not good, but his other shyt specially indie pop and rock is great quite often.

This one wasn't any different. I think he should just stay away from reviewing hip-hop cause he has a really basic shallow understanding of some of the songs. Like when he hates on "fukk going platinum I looked at my wrist and it's already platinum" he can't understand why that's a hot line, just a terrible review over all just like all the other ones.

He tried to "trim the fat" off this new album trying to make it short and sweet like GKMC but failed miserably.

but if you like Drake's other two albums there is no reason why you shouldn't like this album
