One of those southern states, I think it was S.C, had to stop enforcing E-Verify because it was too effective. The agriculture industry let it be known that they were not in favor of E-Verify and it's use was making them less competitive nationally and internationally.

I know plenty of illegals personally that live in the Central Valley that get assistance from employers to forge paperwork or they'll just pay cash. I know big employers that do it as well. When I first started where I work we did a sweep of everyone that was illegal. 3/4 of the workforce was illegal and we have 1100 employees here. It happens way more then you think or are willing to admit. It's not just "Morales". I've seen it first hand in the same area you live in.

i dont get why we act like it's not possible to stop illegals from coming here, but it's possible to stop every employer in america from hiring them especially since they DO cheat and steal social security numbers, and fake documents

both should be discouraged, but both aren't ever going to be completely stopped. somewhere in the middle is ideal

and again...illegals are NOT bad people for trying to come here and work. but they do take up space that citizens would take, when it comes to jobs and housing. that's the bottom line

E-Berify has actually being prove to be very effective.

In some cases, too effective for some industries. To the point where they stop enforcing it.
