so been using Brave for about 5 hours. It seems pretty solid, definitely not as refined as chrome - for some reason the address bar is at the very top of the page, even above the tabs, which leaves means the menu bar is a few mm height wise wider than chrome.
it has tab peek or preview, so you can hover the tab and see what's going on on the tab without actually clicking it. That also seems to start videos that are loading (i.e. world star).
there's a shield button that lets you click and switch off phising, maleware, finger printing, https everywhere, and scripts. Tehre's also a block script symbol in the address bar that shows all the scripts being blocked on the current page. So example, the youtube video i embedded would not show up , until i unblocked the scripts on the page for thecoli and youtube; hwoever, I still have 3 scripts still blocked.
privacy tab is cool but obviously useless
you can clear all data upon exit, has a password manager and extension for last pass. Seems like a hit for my basic browsing needs...oh and the addres bar tells you how fast it loads'
alot of this you can do with firefox or chrome with proper extensions and settings but Brave does seem to make it simpler for the novice and intermediate users.
also now integrated search engine with both startpage.com and duckduckgo.com
