I'm late on this one. Was there a black cardinal that was in the running for the pope position? He probably would have been blamed for a lot of the problems going on in the church especially all the molestation cases they have been sweeping under the rug. Its kind of messed up but another part of me would like to see the racism that would rear its head if a black pope had been instated. Call me crazy but I like that stuff out in the open.

Not all places exhibit it, but I have seen in Austin at a bible believing church years ago and no lie...the majority of the married couples were interracial. A lot of white dudes were married to black women and these weren't bummy white dudes either. Trend was the same for black men there too. There was no hint of racism there. One of my friends was involved in the church and he married the white pastor's daughter and she was a dime. When Christianity is followed correctly, it is a beautiful thing. The world is a mess though so it's harder to find anything that is perfect, since people aren't perfect.
