First he spends half the article dikkriding him as few people can then he goes on to talk about what Jay-z should do.

Jay-z is too big for music at this point, people won't let him have fun, won't let him diss people for sake of the battle elements of hiphop etc.
He's judged the same way a senior politician is. Which is why I think MCHG gets so much love on the streets, cause he doesn't give a fukk about those people.
He did give a fukk about them in 08-09, but now he's back to arrogant Jay from vol.1/vol.2/vol.3 times but now old people/cacs etc are expecting him to be the new Elton John or some other boring old musician.

The funny thing is how these geek ass Nas stans are now using the same old cac critics who used to dikkride Jay when he was making mediocre/safe BP3 type of music to support their weak claims. While back then they used to say "ahh the fukk does he know, they only respect him for his moves bla bla bla".

The thing is now, they are only not respecting him for his moves. For the fact that he is toasting with Obama, Buffet and them and still shytting on nikkas like it was 98. He's inviting art elitists to his shyt AND getting throwed with Jeezy, Meek and Ross. And of all negative articles, his money, his wins, his friends, his arrogance, ego are the only thing mentioned.

Jay should do this, jay should do that like an elected official.. nikkas should focus on what they should be doing, that dude should be writing social articles instead of entertainment articles about rappers and pop singers.

This post..cant believe i missed this....sig worthy shyt :ohhh: :wow:

Most black guys in NY(20-25 years of age) are not too keen on history..

Most black guys in NYC will call homosexual persecution(if u wanna call it dat :wtb:) the same as what we went through as a people in the past

Most black guys in NYC have not experienced first hand racism or dont identify many things as racism because like I said...of its liberal association and their whole idea of "ignoring race"

Gentrification plays a role too

So im sayin all this to say..NYC black people because of their living experience have a warped view of america...that is what im saying

And I relate this to Jay's statement to say that his new living experience and the fact that he's like 60 years old..the whites that used to slow shyt up for him on the block and then the drastic change of him being cool with whites as a rich business man will warrant him to say "there is a lil bit of racism"..cuz he's not at that place where he was being held back by the system

It seems like most young Black guys in New York are walking around dumb, deaf and blind...

You don't see the ridiculous irony of gentrification being the reason they think white folks are so cool?

:russ:

Anyway I've traveled the country and it was much easier for me to get a cab in Memphis Tenn than it was in Manhattan..

Sean Bell and Amadou Diallo weren't in Ohio when they got murdered..

Sell that " these white folks shole is good to us up here boss" mantra to someone who doesn't know any better...

I know you play the role of a Jigga Warrior on here, but you're doing the most right now..

I think my post went over ur head youngin :youngsabo:

Nah I wont disrespect u like dat, I respec da elder mind

But heres what Im sayin fam..

Im not blind to racism and i can properly identify racism(in my opinion anyways)

Im saying that most black guys in NYC dont properly identify racism so they wont categorize something as racism when they should.

Its only in NYC and maybe other cities, that people of all ethnicities can go around and get away with saying "nikka"
Most black guys in NYC have trouble recognizing an didentifying racism until its pushed that way and backed by white media(ie: Sean Bell, Trayvon)

And Im sayin that as someone who has met a plethora of mufckaz from this city and especially familiar with how my people work in this city. And this is not about "White people being good", this is about 90's late 80's babies of NYC not experiencing blatant racism and not given proper historical basis of their race.

I mean my god..NYC is the main mufckin city where black people put sexuality on the same category as race..u tell me they aint lost it? :wtb:

Fact is...things have changed..racism has been more subtle and has fooled many blacks, especially those in NYC....

This is what the writer thinks about rap:comeon:

:russ: you're a dumbass. He said if you know anything about rap, MCHG is embarassing

log off breh :snoop:

Also, outside of that retarded suggestion of what Jay should've done at the gallery (my man must've been smoking that loud when he typed that out) there's not really much at fault with the article

"Jay Z’s performance at the Pace Gallery, a transparent rewrite of Marina Abramović’s “The Artist Is Present,” took place three days before the Zimmerman verdict, so what could he have done to leverage his influence? He could have ditched the idea of lip-synching to “Picasso Baby” (a weak retread of “99 Problems”) and recreated the Zimmerman-Martin showdown with everyone in the room, following them around the perimeter of the gallery and scaring the shyt out of them, eventually pulling a gun"

What an insane comment.....how you gonna complain that someone didn't do some off the wall demonstration that you concocted in your head? :mindblown:

c/s

my man seriously suggested that jay should've tried doing something like that because he's at a point and status in a career where he could probably have weathered the storm that would've followed from doing something like that. You couldn't make it up brehs :russ:
