i think i articulated pretty well what my problem was. having a bunch of white mufukkas 'allowing' us to use their p*ssy-ass characters for whatever reason isn't a win for black people. people like blacksands and heirophant on here will make up original characters and have to move heaven and earth for recognition, but let some neckbeard white guy say they're 'making batman black' and it's the best thing that ever was. and of course whites are mad about it, batman is a character that's been around like 100 years. it's a beloved well-established flagship white character and arguably the most popular comic character of all time. if they came out and made blade, a character with nowhere near the history of batman, white, folks would be saying it was cultural appropriation and wanting blood. of course there aren't a whole lotta black characters to begin with so it isn't quite 1 to 1, but it just sounds stupid to be all like 'oh cacs mad in the comments' when most of us would be mad too. now having said all that, fukk these whiteboys.
