Wow, so Roman isn't even safe from that Cena burial, huh? I don't want Roman to get it, just to give Cena his shining moment to surpass Ric's record.

They fukked up by not having Roman put in solid work as a lower tier champion in his singles run before he becomes

I would have rather seen him as IC champ over Ryback, personally. :yeshrug:

They were probably shook of putting him in a feud with Miz and then having the smarks turn around rooting for Miz.

Unless this is some convoluted plot to make sure Cena gets a pop when he ends Roman's reign.

This doesn't even make sense.

Once again they defer the future in order to buoy the John Cena character. You are supposed to use your veterans to build up future wrestlers.

No one is going to get the rub from John Cena. No one will definitively put him away so that crowds can veer away from him and toward the next generation of stars.

I guess WWE would spin it and say, "if we haven't found our future Main Event wrestler by 2016, then we're gonna need Cana to keep fans interested."

They may be right about that...but short term planning always sounds better in the present.

:why: Cena should be dropping it to Reigns in that scenario, not the other way around.

Nobody has ever gotten the rub from working with him, and does he really keep the fans interested? I haven't watched since before wrestlemania except Brock and Undertaker matches, and he is the biggest reason why. Everything always gets overshadowed by him.

I agree, careers have been hurt by Cena. Only Triple H got over on Cena, and that was back when he was the champ.

I was speaking from the perspective of WWE. They believe that he keeps fans interested.

And let's be honest, fans are entertained by Cena. I don't even like the dude, but I have to give him props for revitalizing the US Title.

CeGOAT coming for #17 :HBGOAT:

It's obvious it's going to happen, doesn't matter that it isn't happening now. WWE already has made it a huge deal he's at 15 and keep teasing that he's 1 away from tying, then he will win 17 and retire as champ
