Originally supposed to be two steps to go with two feet, but morphed into ref interpretation. No one knows. I do know, from what I've seen, McFadden made a football move.

Football moves are just a catch followed by control and momentum..a catch test. I've seen people pull jump steps and lose the ball and call it incomplete. The easiest catches to call seem to be sideline ones, and that dynamic makes even less sense.
