it's odd that everyone thinks thenigerian is a co0n, i mean so do i, but when bringing up the ethnicity/nationality thing is what caught my attention. i try not to stereotype based on a few of my experiences with people from certain regions, but all of the africans i know are co0ns.

i know this is just a cultural difference about being straightforward, but i found myself like at some of the things i am told by them. from outright "i'd prefer to be white" to "i don't want babies as dark as me"

african americans might be self-hating, but at least there is some prideful denial about it.

I agree with you that we as black people should try to do better and improve some of the fukked up aspects of our culture, but this divisive way of thinking isn't effective in my opinion. We shouldn't separate "good" and "bad" black people, because to a racist person, we're all ******s. Rather than looking down on those "bad" black people, we should be trying to raise each other up and to help em do as well as those of us who've had the privilege to "succeed."

honestly, these cacs usually have their attitudes because of the ghetto trash. can you really blame them? white yuppies coming home from work, and they see black rabble talking loud and acting in a generally unpleasant manner. you see that every single day, on the way to work and on the way home. you read the paper and see stories about people dying everyday in the innercity. and you know it's a black. or a puerto rican. or someone who isn't white. and those whites observe the television and they usually see the worst of us representing the black community.

how many black intellectuals do you see on meet the press? pundits who are there to discuss something that isn't "black oriented." like, say, syria or iran? how many black movie stars do you see? how many black twilight-level franchises do you see hollywood putting on the big screen?
