You have super wealthy people including politicians consuming and buying everything and focused on material items while most of their countrymen lack basic 24 hr. electricity and running water. The infrastructure is behind. And in Nigeria's case they still gotta deal with boko haram.The Nigerian wealth gap is crazy. Ghana as well from what I've heard. Not a judgement just a statement.

If Nigeria and ghana and other emerging african countries want to really develop they need a more educated/skillful population and in order to do that they have to tackle the basics first.
