Remember when people were saying that I was wrong in saying that the terrible Wii would have a long term negative effect in terms of sales? LOL @ relying on gimmicks for a generation win...again, wtf was nintendo thinking naming this shyt the Wii U

At least they are having their first profitable quarter since 2012

The Wii U is probably finished in terms of getting a strong install base, there is nothing else they can do to get that number way up because they have a strong lineup of their own on it.

True, their "gimick" this time didn't knock it out the park, but I like the gamepad tablet feature much more than the wacky motion controls of the wii. Everyone knows as far as pushing power and specs into the system that Ninty just can't compete with Sony or M$ on that level, regardless of them profiting off the system. I mean, they could try to go that route and not profit off the system and if it fails them, then they'd undeniably go the route of sega and die as hardware manufacturer. Though, I know some of ya'll may like that option, but has Sega and its series been the same since that shyt happened? What do ya'll would-be gamers really want tho really tho.

Yeah, it really is a shame because the Wii U is a MUCH better console than the wack ass Wii. My problem is mostly the naming of it, they should have dropped that Wii name immediately...the marketing teams just wanted to try to hit another grand slam. Epic failure

They really need to come with that hybrid system this E3. Handheld and console in one. You can buy them seperate but they run on the same system which let you crossplay. No more droughts, Nintendo can finally focus on one platform. They dont have the capacity to keep that old shyt up.

Yeah, it's debatable, moreso if you just talking strictly exclusives as they still currently have more, but they should, as they've been out longer.

The biggest problem was and will continue to be the price of the system. I understand the tablet controller drove the cost up, but that was idiotic. The Wii U isn't much more powerful than a PS3 or 360, which are decade old machines. You can buy a new PS3 or 360 for between $200-250. A new Wii U is gonna be between $250-300, while getting a much more powerful system like a PS4 or XBox One can be had for $350-400.

It's just simple math. Yeah, it might have quite a few great games, but it's a secondary system since there's basically no third party support and vastly inferior technology wise. If it cost $150-200 to buy, I guarantee it would sell a lot more. Hell, I'd buy one at that price, but as it stands, it's not worth it to me and clearly most people feel the same way.

Yeah, if they that did this gamepad tablet shyt the right way, it could've been that right there! All and all, I love the idea of the tablet and like it in actual play, but they should've executed it a bit better.

That probably won't happen anytime soon. Maybe $250. The 3ds xl is $200. They're not gonna price both at the same price point.

I think you can get a refurbished one for $200 though. It's well worth the $300 in my opinion though.
