The no drum movement is basically the dusty 90s Hip-Hop that was soundtrack to my childhood.

All of BCC's first album are attest to this.

I missed the heavy emphasis of bass in Hip-Hop and R&B.

I always liked what RZA did with his drums on The W.

He uses a lot of weird time signatures and very subtle percussive elements. Red Bull is crazy.

It's always good to see producers not just falling back on the same old drum loops (I'm looking at you Premo)

well this is kind of semantics. I don't think too many people would argue that a snare drum is not a "drum"

I remember in like 2005 Kanye was talking about him and Brion or whoever it was exploring all types of concepts for Late Registration and they discussed making songs without drums..and I think I read this in like Rolling Stone...but off the top of my head I don't recall anything on LR
