Talib did a video stating that him and Yasiin dont like Spotify/Apple music etc because of the way the distribution deals are shytty. Thats why they went with Luminary as Yasiin, Talib and Chappelle did their Midnight Miracle podcast on Luminary and they'll get a better cut.

Besides it’s Black Star. Getting a better cut of the streams and then touring the album will probably net them more than whatever the “clout” they’d get as an underground group releasing a follow up album 24 YEARS after the original.
