Exactly. If they can ban the president, why wouldn't they be able to ban anyone else? A lot of people were cheering on this tech censorship because it was 'the other party', but ignored the fact that the gun could easily be turned on them. We effectively live in a technodictatorship and the way they can get around the free speech concerns is saying, 'you don't have a right to free speech on their private platform'.

How is this different to previous, pre-social media eras? Before it was newspapers and TV stations. They're privately owned too, and they don't let just anybody publish in a newspaper or have a TV show. If you were a political movement not favoured by those private media organisations, you had to go and make your own newspaper, you weren't getting published in the NYT. That's why the Communist Party used to have it's own newspaper, they weren't going to be able to spread their message any other way.

The only difference is that before people sacked up and did the work. Now everyone just sits and complains like you. It's never been easier to make your own website so you can express yourself however you wish. Certainly way easier and cheaper than making your own newspaper

nothing you said changes the fact that Trump and Alex Jones types deserve a ban. nobody blindly cheered it on. Free speech also means holding the weight of your words. if they don't ban them it's a problem if they do it's a problem.

you just complain to complain

People can make the same argument about the NOI as they did Trump or Alex Jones.
Banning public people will hurt everyone

I caught a 24 hour ban for calling Candace Owens a c00n. Didn't know c00n was a suspendable offense.

Should have just called her a bullet bag, or how if the race wars started you would kill black men. Or maybe you could have said you would abort black Male babies. Or how about you called candace a N-word with two kks in the middle or an A at the end.

See all that language above is accepted when talking about black folks. But somehow c00n is where twitter draws the line. Or is that twitter draws the line when you attack certain folks with clout?:sas2:

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not complain about not having a column in the Daily News, New York Times or Chicago Sun-Times.

He simply created Muhammad Speaks.

The Cell Phone Generation is more interested in feminine complaining rather than creating.
