The key to maintaining this core going forward is making sure that Jokic plays next to a rim protector. Since hes such a liability on defense, they need him to play next to someone who can either rotate well enough cover up his weaknesses or be a second layer of the defense. Still, this is a team that i can definitely see growing into a contender over the next few seasons

With Murray Harris and Jokic they don't have a need for a traditional point guard like most teams. If they find another big to get rebounds and block shots the sky is the limit for them. In 3 or 4 years they could possibly be running the West with ease.

Murray and Jokic are 21 and 23 respectively, they got time to keep adding to that core.

That’s how you become competitive in the future. Draft well, keep the voice in the locker room consistent, and groom the talent. Very reminiscent of the Warriors around ‘11,’12, and ‘13. I really love Gary Harris’ game. Glad he found his game because I was a lil worried that he’s get lost in the shuffle when they drafted Murray. I want to see what they can do going forward.
