Even when you look at Oak as a rookie in 1985, he was grimy as fukk.
Dude got that old veteran respect the moment he entered the league:pachaha:
-Charles Oakley slapped Charles Barkley across the face during a player’s union meeting. “I heard what he was saying about me in Atlantic City and I didn’t like it. I’m fed up with him. I told him ‘You need to change your name. I’m the only Charles.’” Oakley finished by telling Barkley, “Every time I see you, I’m going to slap you.”
Yeah, that was during the 1999 lockout. Players Union chaos extended that lockout by at least a month.
No surprise Oak was a big part of it :manny:

Raleigh by way of Crooklyn
Oakley was Michael Jordans enforcer on the Bulls and they are best friends to this day. When Oakley was traded the pistons knnew it was open season.

No doubt. When that trade went down, Jordan was TIGHT. Once he came to the Knicks for Cartwright, the Pistons was like :shaq:. It's no coincidence that just about everywhere Jordan went, he would let his nikka Oak :eat:

oak was such a goon..as a player he was average to me...nikka was like 6'11" and had no hops at all lol...I remember that altercation he got in with the x-man..had me like :lupe: as a kid

That was my power forward... :to: He wasn't even that big; nikka was listed at 6-9, but was probably closer to 6-8. I remember going to Knicks games hoping someone would make him throw hands. Nobody wanted it with my nikka Oak, although I do remember him and X-man going at it. When they was on the same team in 1991, goonery abounded. :lolbron:
