Just tell a straight story and make it cinematic (ala the movie Troy). Don't try to do all that fancy pretentious shyt

What I mean by that is Interstellar and Inception are amazing films. I just rewatched Interstellar last night and it still hits.

He was doing way too much with Tenet. Whatever pretentious bullshyt he was on with that movie, don't do that with Odyssey.

In all honesty Nolan aint blew my mind since Memento. He made his grand films. His magnum opus. Maybe this new one will be considered his best yet. But Memento to this day blows my mind more than any movie and any idea he's came up with since.
