Orlando gets these talks going, gets all of these potential players on the trading block, says the deal is very close to being done, then all of a sudden it all falls apart. Each time it happens, more players enter the trading block and the quality of players being traded improves. Maybe some other team out there wants Afflalo or Pau or Iggy or something. If so, Orlando can continue to use these teams against each other to improve the offers to the point where they can finally "win" in the deal.
