I honestly don't give a fukk about the Nets, but all things considered they had a good off season. It's not Billy King's fault the Magic Organization turned down every fukked deal they proposed. It's also not Billy King's fault Dwight opted into his contract like a dumbass.
Billy King did a good job. The only problem with the Nets roster is that they're overpaying Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez.

nikkaz seriously wanted us to get raped cuz they hate Pau that much. Watch Pau beast now that he doesn't have to be relied upon plus I think Jerry West had it right when he said the Bynum/Gasol tandem wouldn't work.

It was pretty much proven they couldn't play well together. The more Bynum was a focal point of the team the worse they did.
Pau was most effective playing at center with Odom or in the international game playing at PF with his brother.
Drew was too unwilling of a passer and not athletic enough to play with Pau. Dwight and Pau will compliment each other much better......Nash and Pau gonna be on some other shyt.
I don't Dwights game will compliment Pau's anymore than Bynum's Did. He the same type of player, just better at everything except for maybe post moves.
But it doesn't matter because Nash should improve both of their games dramatically.

as far as billy king goes he played this whole shyt out wrong
1. D12 wanted Brooklyn -all billy had to do was make sure we got enough cap room to sign him at end of season
2. ORL wanted didn't want talent back they just wanted picks & exp contracts -billy should have gave all them all our exp contracts he used to get joe johnson
3. he traded for Gerald Wallace and didn't have the pick lottery protected -which wounded up being the 6th pick and what even worst we got him on trading deadline mid march when Wallace was an unprotected free agent at end of season (that lottery pick would have been the best offer ORL would have recieve)

Dwight was never going to take a paycut by walking via free agency. He wanted the sign and trade so he could make more money. Him walking was an empty threat.
It was also moot this off season since Dwight opted into his contract. King couldn't keep enough cap space free AND put together a team good enough to keep Deron happy and make him stay. If Deron had demanded a sign and trade Dwight probably wouldn't want to be in Brooklyn then.
They obviously didn't want expiring contracts because the only ones they got came from the Lakers and were small. The other contracts were sizable and long (3 and 4 years). The picks they got were about the same (all bad).
The Nets expiring contracts and picks wouldn't have worked numbers wise. That's why they had to sign Lopez to that obscene contract so they could bring in Dwight.
It wouldn't have matter.....Orlando had NO intention of trading Dwight to the Nets. Orlando was just trolling a bunch of other teams. I still think the Nets deal sucked, but the deal Orlando took was worse.
Orlando should have done the three team deal with Houston or Cleveland. They could have gotten better picks, young talent, and they would have been able to dump more contracts.
Seriously how the fukk did they still end up stuck with Hedo's contract?

I myself am surprised the Nets didn't make a deal with Houston. Houston gave zero fukks about Dwights empty threats and was willing take him with no guarantees of him staying.
