I myself am surprised the Nets didn't make a deal with Houston. Houston gave zero fukks about Dwights empty threats and was willing take him with no guarantees of him staying.

The Nets didn't have anything to offer Houson.

Houston wanted an All Star and the only one Jersey had they weren't going to give up.

If Dwight was traded to Houston, the Nets would have gotten him via sign and trade, but he wasn't getting to the Nets as part of any multi team deal with Houston.

Lakers had Bynum, and for all the shyt some people talk about Drew other teams had been wanting him for years. Houston could have built around Bynum and caked off of Lin being there..They could have also brought in Hedo and would of had a nice little team.

Reaffirmed how much I dislike Dwight off the court. Seems so fake, but shyt. Let's get this ring. (something he didn't even mention during the press conference :scusthov:)

Oh....well reportedly Houston wasn't willing to give up nearly as much as was being reported...even still it couldn't possibly have been worse than what Orlando got.

Orlando fukked up and the Lakers played that shyt cool as fukk...the simple fact that Orlando came to the LAKERS with that trade speaks volumes.

Dwight was never going to take a paycut by walking via free agency. He wanted the sign and trade so he could make more money. Him walking was an empty threat.
not true for BK... believe me yall would've never attempted to trade for him if we still had da cap space -besides addidas wanted him in nyc more than anything, so it wouldnt be him walking away from money

It was also moot this off season since Dwight opted into his contract. King couldn't keep enough cap space free AND put together a team good enough to keep Deron happy and make him stay. If Deron had demanded a sign and trade Dwight probably wouldn't want to be in Brooklyn then.
well u make an interesting point... which me & my peepz been arguing bout lately -i kinda believe dwill was so upset with D12 opting in; dwill decide he wanted his own team (which is why he requested da joe johnson trade -inwhich made acquiring d12 nearly impossible
and as far as ur opinion on d12 not wanting to come to BK if dwill had bounce -is NOT TRUE

They obviously didn't want expiring contracts because the only ones they got came from the Lakers and were small. The other contracts were sizable and long (3 and 4 years). The picks they got were about the same (all bad).
The Nets expiring contracts and picks wouldn't have worked numbers wise. That's why they had to sign Lopez to that obscene contract so they could bring in Dwight.
not true... we had a. morrow, j farmer, j petro, d stevenson, j williams all on their last year or 2 plus kris humphies sign n trade and we could've took back j rich, c duhon & turk

It wouldn't have matter.....Orlando had NO intention of trading Dwight to the Nets. Orlando was just trolling a bunch of other teams. I still think the Nets deal sucked, but the deal Orlando took was worse.
u probably right i think they didnt want d12 to get his wish to brooklyn

but thats why i will blame billy king -he should've a plan B
again if we had kept space to sign him as a free agent -ORL would have no choice but trade him to us

I dont want to EVER HEAR AGAIN from any Kobe stans and/or Lakers fans trynna talk greasy about any other player havin had "help" to get their titles. :usure:

lol you nikkas betta be as quiet as church mouses if and when dat topic comes up. Whether it's about Bron, Jordan, Bird, etc. whoever. Str8 up.

Nikka, they traded, they didn't form a colluding syndicate with top players in their prime accepting lower salaries to be on the same team. Not to mention Dwight having a bad back, and Nash being on the tail end of his career, and they giving up the best young C in the game (Bynum isn't even 25 :wow:) You the same nikka that was saying the Lakers raped Memphis, and Gasol been carrying the Lakers, only to be quiet as f*ck last year. Lakers got all their pieces fair and square, and personally, I wish they kept Marc over Pau. It's about to be Heat vs. Lakers, all other nikkaz cry me a f*ckin' river :lolbron:

1st off -congrats to u & laker nation imma laker/Kobe hater BUT I gotta give respects when it's due

as far as billy king goes he played this whole shyt out wrong
1. D12 wanted Brooklyn -all billy had to do was make sure we got enough cap room to sign him at end of season
2. ORL wanted didn't want talent back they just wanted picks & exp contracts -billy should have gave all them all our exp contracts he used to get joe johnson
3. he traded for Gerald Wallace and didn't have the pick lottery protected -which wounded up being the 6th pick and what even worst we got him on trading deadline mid march when Wallace was an unprotected free agent at end of season (that lottery pick would have been the best offer ORL would have recieve)

da nikka fukked up -u will never see shyt like this again

Damn You Sold Out On The Knicks And It Looks Like You Jumped On The BK Bandwagon Early For Nothing, Oh Well

On To The Heat Now?
