Why does Canada suck so bad in summer olympic games???

Most say it's funding. I mean you look at how many athletes we sent and it's 277, literally half of the US. (I know they have 250 million people and we have 30 million, but still, there's def 500+ Canadian athletes out there). Not saying we'd have as many medals if we did, but damn sure we'd have more than 7 total and few golds to boot. We don't have a Phelps but I know for damn sure there's gotta be a fukkin gold medalist Shooter chilling somewhere in the Praries, or a Jamaican born Canadian runner chillin near Eglinton/Keele who can compete with Bolt, no???
