Interesting picks I must say.
FreedS[ohh]lave;361674 said:I think they were so badly hurt by the Lebron thing they just looking for "character" guys at this point but at best that will get you to be a team like the Pacers, stuck as a mid tier playoff team if everyhting even breaks right
Why?
I was considering Royce White, Fabricio Melo

Drummond best case scenario Sege Ibaka?![]()
Isn't the combine today?
Yeah I didn't get that either
I'd say best case is Bynum
Hes more athletic then Bynum without Bynums post game..I guess a little of Dwight or Amare though dudes even bigger then Dwight at his age by a lot..
He could be a total bust but you gotta take a chance on a guy with that much ahtletic ability at that size considering theyres no big men anymore..if he ever develops anything that resembles a decent post game hes gonna be a monster..
He has coordination and footwork so it can be done just a matter of wheter or not hell ever give a shyt..
It's dumb because they took a non-impact player last year at 4, building a "safe" team is cool and all, but that ain't gonna be a winner long term.
If they want him so bad, trade the 4 & 24 for the 6 & 11.
I think he'll be around 6"10 ish in shoes, I'd be shocked if he was over 6"11, so he's not quite as big as Bynum who is a legit 7"0 to 7"1. If we're to believe he played the college season @ 290lbs he's a freak of nature athletically though, cause 290lbs isn't supposed to be that explosive and he was probably the fastest player on that Uconn team.
Teams are just scared of taking big men now, we saw it with Greg Monroe and DeMarcus Cousins, they find reasons not to draft them instead of all the reasons they should. At worst, I think Drummond ends up a really good shotblocker and rebounder, he's already really good at defending the pick and roll. If someone takes the time and effort to teach him to play big like the Lakers did with Bynum, the sky is the limit for him, he has the talent/potential to be the best player from the draft.
If Portland or Cleveland gets him, he'll develop, if the Kings or Bobcats take him he's doomed.
amazing he still had the explosiveness..If this dude has any sort of work ethic hell be a beast..I'm sure Cleveland would make that trade in a heartbeat. Portland on the other hand, not so much.
And I dont get it, are you saying Barnes won't be an impact player for them? He could easily come in and be the 2nd leading scorer on that team next year. I dont think there's anything wrong with going the "safe" route here.
He was 290 at Uconnamazing he still had the explosiveness..If this dude has any sort of work ethic hell be a beast..
Staying a year wouldnt have done much either because these guards in college cant even throw a simple fukkin entry pass to a big guy anymore..
