It does though. How you develop players matters in plenty of situations. Boeheim is exhibit A. JTIII is exhibit B

Holding thme back in college is different then the pros..Howland held back Westbrook, hes an awful offensive coach but if a players skills translate to the pros hell be fine..its a different game..

Boheim doesnt recruit all top 10 players like Cal and the times he did with Melo the player became a really good nba player..

Because they have to tools to do it Love doesnt..defense is also a part of a players work ethic and effort level which is either there or its not..

I know you feel scorned from Syracuse players but bottom line is Boheim doesnt recruit just top 10 players like Cal whos players games are ready made for the nba..

Flynn was a McDonald's All-American. He was a top recruit. Donte Greene, Eric Devendorf, Paul Harris. Those were big recruits. His overall defensive philosophy breeds bad habits in the NBA. You have to rehabilitate everything they know about defense. It's why you almost have to disregard everything Fab Melo did on D at Syracuse because you know the shyt he learned won't get him far.

Calipari is not a great x's and o's guy hes a great RECRUITER who gets the best of the best players and a decent amount translate well to the NBA it has nothing to do with him being something genius..

I get it i just think its a copout to blame a college coach for what a player does in the NBA

Two totally different games..As i said a players physical skillset and size either translates at the next level or it doesnt..

I think you're reaching telling me without those two assistants these players wouldnt be as good at the nba level..

Any dope could recruit Derrick Rose and not f it up..Cal also has guys in the nba not doing as well so does he fukk some guys up and not others? No its just that some guys translate to the pros some dont

That's not what I said. I'm implying that for what Cal doesn't do at X's O's he has more than qualified guys on his staff that do that.

His success rate is pretty damn good, and it's not always just due to size. If you wanna use that as an example, Flynn and Wes' measurements and workouts are half the reason why their stocks soared (the other half was the interview)

And lets not blame Syracuse for Flynn's failures, it was a dumb pick by Minnesota. I have no ideawhy some teams were so high on him going into the draft. Picked 3 PG's in one draft and traded away the best one.

We didn't trade the best one. And that will be proven.


The reason why it was a dumb pick had NOTHING to do with him being a PG. It had everything to do with him being hyped up of his smile (I wish I was exaggerating) and that 6OT game vs. UConn.

Boheim the pedo sucks. Why an NBA prospect would play for him is mindboggling. Wonder when the "calipari can only recruit" sentiment will disappear.. 2 yr we ran thru osu and unc to get to the final four with a 6 man rotation with the only 5* being bknight and tjones. What other hall of fame coaches do we have to beat? We're like 17-2 against ranked opp since cal got here and he does it with freshman. If any other coach did the things cal has in 3yrs everyone would be on his dikk
