that's somewhat fair. You have to ask yourself where he'd go if he was in this year's draft.
The problem is that
1. the allure is gone for Derrick whereas we don't know what these guys can do yet.
2. They probably see what I see: a talented player that's playing behind somebody better so why give up a lot for a guy that people think has to get moved sooner or later?
At this point, they might as well hold onto him. They're not gonna get what they want, and I don't want Kahn now to trade him just to trade him, because that leads to an awful return. That's the kind of shyt that will get us Pau Gasol or a really low pick. Don't sell short on Derrick. All they can do now is let Derrick fail doing what he claimed he could do and that was play SF.
