Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Drummond won't do shyt til year 3 most likely even if he turns out to be good. That's a huge risk, what if he's another Thabeet?

And what if Beal is another Foye?

Yeah Drummond won't do shyt for a few years, but if the Lakers had that mindset they wouldn't have won 2 titles, they would have looked at Bynum and said "What if he's the next Olowakandi?" and missed out on a top 2 center.

Also, what is the rush, the Cavs are rebuilding, everyone forgets the Thunder had 3 top five picks in a row to get to where they are. Yeah you want to get back to the playoffs, but don't make the same mistake that happened with LeBron of being too good too soon to get any actual help. With Drummond, they could be in the lottery next year and the year after while he develops.

There's a high chance he could be a bust, but I think the Cavs are one of the places he could truly develop.

I watched one of his draft workouts and he was draining every jumper :yeshrug:

so I think its easily possible for him to develop one. People really can't even fathom the amount of work MKG puts in. This kid wants to be a star and he has had a rough life up until now. His uncle died the day he committed to kentucky (hes the one who taught him basketball) and his dad died when he was 3 yrs old, hes much more mature than most kids.

His form hasn't changed, here's the latest video from him -

That hitch in his shot is a problem, his shot looks almost like Ronnie Brewers.

Most players can make uncontested shots in workouts, the issue for him will be that once he's pressured that hitch in his shot could become a big problem. He'll either have trouble getting his shot off because of it, or he'll have to speed up his release which will affect accuracy. I don't see him ever being a big offensive threat if he can't fix that part of his shot, it's not like he's got great height for an SF.

The Cavs also passed up Jonas Valanciunas when they had Kyrie Irving coming in, so there wouldn't have been much of a backlash for drafting a stash away pick.

Beal is really getting more hype than needed because he's not that much better than the rest of the field.

:russ: that jumper aint gonna get much better shyts broke

Cats who like MKG talk about intnagibles and works hard like cac talk about their gritty white guys they love

Bottom line is dude cant shoot and doesnt have a great dribble hes gonna be a limited player who brings defense rebounding and "energy":heh: but hes not a guy you want as one of your top players if you are looking to contend

Those are the types of moves that are dumb, had they taken Jonas and ended up with Drummond as well :merchant:

Thing about Beal is out of hs he was labeled a great shooter he didnt show it last year..if hes not a great shooter then at 6'3 without great athletic ablity or explosiveness hes gonna be limited..

that shot from hs better come back

Pay attention, Bradley Beal and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: John Wall might be talking about you.

The Washington Wizards young star point guard said Friday that he hopes the team takes a backcourt mate or wing player with the No. 3 overall pick. Beal, a shooting guard out of Florida, and Kidd-Gilchrist, a versatile wing out of Kentucky, will likely get long looks from Washington at that spot.

"I think you a need a 2-guard. I think you need a 2- or 3-guard," Wall told CSN Washington. "Especially another 3 or 2 to come in and bring a lot of energy. I think you got the big man position where we need it at."
Washington has big men like Nene, Rashard Lewis, Jan Vesely, Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin, along with the maligned Andray Blatche, on its roster. The backcourt's a little thinner; Jordan Crawford was the only true shooting guard on the team after a midseason trade that sent Nick Young to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Other potential considerations at that spot for the Wizards include Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson and lanky North Carolina scorer Harrison Barnes.

Wall, 21, averaged 16.3 points, 8.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds and helped the Wizards finish the season on something of a high note, with the team going 11-14 in the last six weeks of the season, including a season-ending six-game winning streak. Coach Randy Wittman, brought in on an interim basis as Flip Saunder's replacement, earned the respect of Wall and the rest of the team and has been rewarded with a two-year extension.

Wall's not incorrect. It would be tough though passing up the DC native in Robinson when you got Blatche taking up space.
