UPDATE (12:48 a.m. ET): Upon hearing of Sunday night's developments, one rival general manager told ESPN.com that he believes Houston's real aim is acquiring two top-10 picks this week to turn around quickly and offer both to the Orlando Magic as part of a considerable trade offer for Dwight Howard.
The Rockets' willingness to trade for Howard -- even without the All-Star center's signature on a contract extension -- is an open secret around the league. But it's believed that two top-eight picks, assuming Houston managed to complete trades with both Sacramento and Toronto, would seriously pique the interest of new Magic general manager Rob Hennigan, who could then quickly start following the same sort of roster-building blueprint relied on by his previous employers in Oklahoma City.
Acquiring those early lottery picks, though, only represents half of Houston's challenge if Howard is indeed the Rockets' target. The other hurdle is convincing Hennigan, who hasn't even been on the job for a week in Central Florida, to part with Howard so quickly. As much as he's been schooled in building through the draft while working alongside Thunder GM Sam Presti, Hennigan could opt to take a more measured approach, make one more run at trying to convince Howard to sign an extension before entering the final year of his contract and then trade him later in the summer if those efforts go nowhere.

word life, I bet my dude Walt recites an oath like this every night:
The Draft gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no tweener, hold no stretch big, father no finesse big. I shall wear no crowns and win no 3 point contest. I shall live and die in the post. I am the footwork in the darkness. I am the collector of the boards. I am the back that's to the basket, the finisher that brings the efficiency, the hard pick that wakes the sleepers, the blocked shot that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Big Man's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

Report: Rockets talking with Raptors, Kings about draft trade | ProBasketballTalk
My mock's gonna go straight to shyt
Not a bad deal for Sacramento:
Lowry, 14 and 16 for 5/ let's say Jimmer and filler
Sacramento can go get a big like Moultrie and Moe Harkless and the Rockets get Drummond. Then
If that happens
1. Davis
2. Robinson
3. Beal
4. Barnes
5. Drummond
6. Lillard
7. MKG and so on Golden State should be rooting for this to happen
and fwiw, Lowry's tweet is unrelated to any trade talk

Rich Cho better get the lion's share of the credit. I believe Rod Higgins, MJ and the rest of his crony organization just look at him like
while he's trying to explain stuffWhatever happens all I know is that the Warriors are now a problem in the West.

Per @ESPNAndyKatz, Jared Sullinger wasn't invited to the NBA Green Room. NBA usually invites top 10-15 prospects.
