it seems like the whole damn league know Kubiak weak ass system

Schaub looked shook as fukk..all that walking back and forth like he wanted to play shyt :camby: fukk outta here with that

they WILL LOSE THE NEXT TWO GAMES

put all that TJ Yates talk to bed :snoop:

Im afraid what Keenum is gonna look like if hes the number 3

The only doubt most people have against Keenum is his size (6'1" 205, same size as Drew Brees). As someone who watched Keenum play in college the boy has an arm on him that is better than Schaub or Yates. Preseason we saw he can move (unlike Schaub and Yates) to keep plays alive. Granted it was against a non-starting defense, it was still an NFL defense. Those are two positives I see in Keenum over Schaub and Yates. Are they crucial to being a quarterback? Yes. But his level of field vision, leadership, accuracy, and other characteristics have been untested til now. We could still pull off a 7-9 finish and squeak into the Playoffs. The Chargers beating the Colts helped a bit. Both have one loss in conference play.

But we need this bye week to get situated.. these guys practicing knowing they're going into KC's house to play an undefeated Chiefs team that has probably the #1 D in the league right now can't be good. Especially since our offense looks like it was written by the NFL's governing body in 1943 it's so damn predictable. If a shytty D like the Rams can learn it in a week. I don't want to know how well the #1 D knows it by now.

And the fact the D played like the season was over. (Watt got manhandled by the fukking Rams O-Line)

I love the Texans, and I have since the David Carr days but, we need change.

btw, Keenum is making $405,000 this year just being inactive every game.

you will never know what you have with Keenum unless you play him.

Also I feel sorry for Newton. He probably going to get beat and make a feel offsides calls against us. I have some hopes but it ain't looking good

You guys should trade Taj Boyd. He already has great chemistry with one of your WRs and knows how to throw the 50/50 ball for Dre.

Listening to the Kubiak press conference on Monday if Schaub is able to play he will start on Sunday

I think he doesn't want to come out and say Schaub isn't going to start to keep KC on there heels. If he does start he really has the risk for serious injury. Our OL isn't what its been in recent years.

Also we have no damn pass rush still. Brooks Reed is trash.

I've been a Kubiak and Shaub supporter over the years when everyone said they couldnt get it done. Im now a firm believer that they cant get it done now. Kubiak conservativeness and basic play calling is this teams biggest problem besides special teams. If the announcers and fans know what the play call will be then Im assuming the Defense does as well. Now Shaub is turning into David Carr by throwing to the check down almost every play. The defense is still Watts or bust and we may have the worst Special Teams in the League. Martin is a terrible return man. On punts, he normally have 10 yds of daylight but can only get 5 yds. The punt team can't cover for shyt. The field goal kicker is shook and unreliable. And Im starting to believe we dont have ONE explosive offensive player on the entire team.......end rant

the hell happen to yall? its beyond playcalling as the nfl has always been more about execution and talent than playcalling.. there are rarely any surprises come sunday..

yall arent old and you have pretty much the same team as last year.. i felt yall were a lil flukey but not this much:huhldup:

It is a combination of both. They are not playcalling to the ability of the talent that they have. And now the playcalling has changed a lot. When Kyle Shannahan was calling the plays, we were throwing down field, a lot more screen plays, and more bootlegs. Rick Dennison is calling the plays now and is a lot more conservative.. Then you add to the fact that NO ONE is afraid of Johnson or any receivers going deep or as a threat, it makes teams cover tighter and keep more players in the box bc they know they are just going to do crossing routes or run. Then add to Shuab having 0 scrambling ability, teams can cover tight for 4 to 5 seconds and not worry about him extending the play.

it all went south quick. just think we can easily be 0 - 6. We have a chance at a wild card but a 6 - 10 season looms us. I agree with most you are saying because it's true. You can call the play coming. Some one posted a pic on FB of the stats the last four games. We out gained every team, had the ball longer, and few other things and only to get blown out 3 of the 4 games. This goes back to the Packer game when Rogers said they know we are the favorites coming into this game. They know it we know it. It seems like they underpreform against the Elites of the NFL.

Well breh numbers do lie and dont tell the whole story. If we get a 20 yard completion, but on the next play we get a 15 yd penalty against us, the stat sheet wont say we only gained 5 yds. Plus you have to take in account field position. Because of our poor special team coverage and turnovers on offense, we give most teams a shorter field position thus them not needing to gain 80 yards (like we do) to score and more like 40 yd which gives off the illusion that we are playing better. Then also take into account all of the pass interferences we've been getting that cost us 30+ yards but that doesnt show up as yards gained against us on the stat sheet. I've seen us gain 20 yds and then get a 5-7 yd sack and then a 10 yd penalty which almost puts us back to square one. We are losing the field position game with the missed field goals, poor coverage on kick off and punts, fumbles, and interceptions, so other teams doesnt have to gain as many yards as us
